Chapter 26
Welcome back! When we last left off, the 8th generation heir was to be chosen. You voted, and Nate was chosen! Excuse him for not seeming more excited; he expresses his emotions through art.
Unfortunately, my game became horribly corrupted. Try as I might, I couldn’t continue in Sunset Valley. I think it had something to do with trying to move Farid’s brother in with the family. Long story short, dozens of game hours lost, I decided to pack the family up and move them to a new ‘hood. Thus, Riverview became the family’s new home. Sadly, I lost all the other extended family; but, that’s nothing that can’t be rebuilt!
No one seemed to mind the move; they remained in their old house, and settled in quickly.
Charlie moved out quickly, and found new love immediately. In fact, he became somewhat of a player. Maybe he was trying to smother his loss of Sylvia de Santos.
Nate, as always, transferred Charlie’s hidden grief into a choice piece of art.
Charlie called each member of the family every day. It was kind of cute.
Rose was glad to be in a new neighborhood: always the adventurous one, change made her happy. Unfortunately, she was spending all her nights alone. Farid had been a hair away from his final promotion before the move, but sadly his performance was reset when they landed in Riverview.
Charlie stopped by every day.
This day, however, was Nat’s birthday to young adulthood.
The family gathered to see the 8th heir age up.
Nate grew up very well. He immediately ran down to the school to get a job. Yes, I downloaded the education career mod. I like variety.
The other family members were a bit neglected at this point. I’d played through so many days, over and over again, in the old neighborhood that I just wanted to rush and get this over with. Salah and Aaron grew inseparable.
Aaron’s birthday finally arrived, and was barely celebrated.
Being a bit outdoorsy, Aaron went for a more “natural” look as he aged.
Rose, who hadn’t travelled in ages and still had yet to reach visa level 3 in any country, headed off to China along with Farid and Nate.
While Rose quickly set off to business, Nate wandered around and met the locals. It was then that he laid eye on Xi Yuan.
Xi shooed her children in order to talk to Nate. They immediately hit it off.
Although Xi was married, she felt a strange need to impress Nate.
Nate stayed at Xi’s all of that first night, just talking.
Soon, Nate had developed feelings for Xi. He asked if she was single, only to find that she was married. Obviously, I mean where did her two kids come from?
In fact, Nate had the pleasure of meeting Xi’s husband the next day.
Nate didn’t let a thing as small as a husband deter him, though. He had developed fairly strong feelings for Xi and had to let them be known. She didn’t seem to feel the same, unfortunately.
Nate was persistent, though.
Soon, Xi gave in.
In the mean time, Rose had finally reached Visa Level 3.
The family returned home with yet another gnome. At least this one is a bit different.
Nate, completely smitten with Xi, invited her to come visit the next day.
Nate immediately asked Xi to leave her husband and move in. Of course, she said yes.
Ziyi, Xi’s daughter, also moved in. She immediately made herself right at home.
Xi and Louisa immediately bonded. They both had the same lifetime want: to max out both the athletic and martial arts skills.
I decided Xi needed a little… sprucing up. She’s actually quite pretty without that awful haircut.
Xi and Louisa went out and practiced, to achieve their lifetime wants.
Nate soon settled in and got back to painting.
Xi and Lousia did nothing but practice.
During this time, Ziyi was largely neglected. Rose stepped in to ensure the child was getting everything she needed. She didn’t complain once, though; at least her mom was happy.
One night, Nate woke up and knew there was something he had to do.
He immediately proposed to Xi. Will she marry him? Will they have children? Will Ziyi, Arron, and Louisa ever grow up and move out? Will Salah ever pass on to the next world? Find out in the next chapter!
Chapter 5
Welcome back to the Haight Legacy, the first Sims 3 legacy! The heir polls were SO CLOSE but Luke won against Mark by only 4 votes. Luke was my pick so I’m pretty excited about this.
Last we left off, all the kids had grown into teens (well, Luke’s a young adult already) and Luke had just gotten engaged. Gage passed on, and Elysia and Hank got married.
Luke, in his haste to complete his books, had broken the family computer for the last time. Everyone decided to chip in and buy a new laptop for Luke. Unfortunately, since both Hank and Elysia are retired and Luke only source of income are his novels and paintings, the entire family funds were spent on this thing. It had better help him get his writing skill up fast.
As for the spares, Matthew veggies out in front of the television…
Mark reads/plays chess, Paul eats sleeps and fishes, and John’s always out jogging somewhere.
Elysia and Hank just kind of hang out together. Their lives are complete, so nothing too exciting happens with them.
Elysia keeps rolling wants to beat the next ranked chess champion, so she’s almost always got guests over. This keeps her busy/happy so I can concentrate on Luke.
Luke likes to paint, even when I don’t direct him to do it. He’s starting to be able to paint really interesting-looking paintings now.
Sometimes, when Luke just needs to get out of the house for a bit, he meets up with Traci at the art gallery.
Luke’s so excited about his impending nuptials, he can’t stop performing the “Enthuse about wedding” interaction. At first everyone would get really excited with him but now it’s starting to have negative effects, even on Traci.
One evening, as Hank was heading out to read the paper, a cloaked head and scythe popped out from the ground.
Much to Luke’s chagrin, Hank immediately turned into a ghost.
The grim reaper spoke with Hank’s ghost briefly, and Hank passed away. He had a smile on his face the whole time, and didn’t even beg. I guess marrying Elysia had satisfied him for eternity.
Matthew didn’t make it to witness the entirety of Hank’s death. Since he’s a coward, he fainted about three or four times during the death process.
Hank’s epitaph: Hank lived to be 89 days old. Father of Luke and Paul, he was absent for most of their lives but did his best to make up for it in the end. He will be missed.
That little gnome is a trinket that Mark acquired… somewhere. Don’t know where, but we named him Alejandro.
The grim reaper was kind enough to stick around and chat with the house guests for a while. Luke was even queued up to go flirt with it, but it disappeared right before he could.
Elysia was pretty distraught by the death of a second husband in less than a week.
After Hank’s death, she had a permanent frown on her face.
Luke got over Hank’s death pretty quickly. I have a feeling it had to do with his excitement about his wedding that will take place… eventually. I just want to have everyone grow up to adulthood so Luke and Traci can enjoy peace and quiet when they eventually get married.
The day after Hank’s death, life returned to normal. All was quiet.
That is, it was quiet until Elysia passed away.
The grim reaper came for her in almost the exact same spot it had come for Hank. Luke was horrified to witness the death of his second parent in less than 24 hours after the first had died.
Elysia begged and begged, but the grim reaper took her anyways. She was only 86 days old.
Elysia’s epitaph: Founder of the Haight legacy and simself gone wrong, Elysia had character and will be sorely missed.
The grim reaper stuck around again after Elysia’s death. Apparently death excites the grim reaper.
The grim reaper was kind enough to console Luke for a while before disappearing.
When the kids got home from school, they were shocked to discover they were orphans. They all just froze in place for an hour or two. It was a little strange.
Because everyone was so upset, they all retired early for the night; that is, except for Mark. He had wandered to the graveyard before Elysia died and spent quite a few hours exploring the catacombs. There he met this interesting woman: Mona Payton. Apparently she’s evil as well, and they became great friends rather quickly.
After Mona left for the night, Mark couldn’t get her out of his head. He ran upstairs and read all the romance novels he could find in the house.
Soon, it was time for Paul’s birthday. Only the family gathered to celebrate.
Paul grew up into a handsome adult, with Commitment Issues as his final trait.
He immediately moved out and into a TINY home of his own.
This is the house I built for him. I know it’s nothing special, but I never claimed to be a talented interior designer.
When I switched back to the main family after setting Paul up on his own, I discovered three things: one, Luke was over at the Keaton house spying on Justine’s son, Jereme, and his daughter. Two, the main family had $0. I guess when you move someone out, it transfers the entire family funds to the new family and that’s what I’d used to build Paul’s house with. Oops. Third, I realized I missed Paul. With Sims 2, it didn’t faze me when spares moved out because I knew I’d go play their families while waiting for an heir poll to finish. Now, I know Paul’s going to be growing and aging without me.
On top of that, this new trait system really does give sims more personality and I find myself incredibly attached to my sims.
Anyways, since Luke was already spying on Jereme’s home, I decided to have him go in and say he. He proceeded to enthuse about the wedding; Jereme wasn’t having any of it.
He definitely looks like his mom. It’d be nice for Luke to befriend this guy, since their moms were best friends.
That night, the ghosts were particularly active. From the looks of it, Gage and Hank can’t stand each other in the afterlife.
The next day, as Luke was reading the newspaper, he stumbled across Elysia’s death announcement. That made her death seem more real and I was pretty sad.
John cheered me up, though, when I caught him making funny faces at himself in the mirror.
Luke had a bit of writer’s block, so he wandered over to visit Paul at his new home. It’s only a couple houses down the street, so that’s convenient.
They spent the evening consoling and comforting each other.
Luke: “Paul, you’ve got to get ahold of yourself, man! My wedding’s going to be soon and we can’t be sad for it!”
Paul: “For the last time, can we NOT talk about your wedding anymore? Just get hitched and get it over with already.”
Luke went home and took a bubble bath to relax. He realized Paul was right, life was too short, and he should just marry Traci already.
He rented out the entire park and invited pretty much every single one of the family’s acquaintances. Traci was running a little late, so Luke entertained the family with his nonexistent guitar-playing skills. Elysia left the guitar to him after she died, so he thought it would be a good way to bring her spirit to the wedding.
Traci finally showed up and the wedding was able to proceed. Good thing, too, since Luke’s guitar skills are horrible. Traci didn’t have a qualm about telling Luke how much he sucked.
Everyone had waited so long for Traci that they were just about dieing from starvation.
Eventually, Luke and Traci exchanged vows in front of almost the entire neighborhood.
With Traci officially in the family, I discovered she’s Absent Minded, Couch Potato, Family-Oriented, Clumsy, and Good. Mediocre combination. Her favorites are music-indie, food- fish and chips, color-violet. Her lifetime wish is to become a chess legend. She has no family.
As the newlyweds gazed lovingly into each other’s eyes, Christopher grew furious. Luke had been HER man his entire life, and now some blonde tramp comes in and steals him? The is not to be beared.
Christopher felt utterly broken-hearted and betrayed.
Jereme Keaton left the party early in order to teach his daughter how to walk. For some reason I thought this was so awesome: even though sims aren’t in your control, they’re still caring for their kids and teaching them life skills.
Traci, Matthew, and John left the wedding party early to take care of themselves. Matthew and Traci immediately bonded on the couch. They may have the couch in common, but Matthew’s incredibly shy around women. He looks like he’s about to faint every time he’s around one.
I set Traci to work right away on building her Logic skill. Getting skills to level 10 seems a lot more difficult now.
Traci’s and Luke’s first night as a couple was spent quietly and without woohoo. They were both too tired after their eventful day.
Matthew is so agitated at the knowledge that a female is in the house, he stuffs his face with leftover cake. No wonder he’s getting a tummy.
No, I mean LITERALLY stuffs his face. And arm. I love slob sims.

Traci’s only been in the house for a day, and I’m already starting to get annoyed by good sims. She keeps rolling wants to donate money. Hey, lady, we just built Paul a bachelor pad; there’s nothing to give!
Speaking of Paul and bachelor pads, Luke is constantly wishing to go visit him. It’s kind of cute.
The ghosts come out every night now. Elysia’s taken to haunting plates of Autumn salad whenever she can. It’s probably because she ate so much of it when she was alive.
With everything and everyone settled down and happy, Luke begins his writing again. He’s so close to maxing out both Painting and Writing.
Traci, meanwhile, has already gained about 5 Logic skillpoints and has begun challenging ranked opponents. She beat 3 in a row one day.
Luke and Paul were never close when they were under the same roof, but all of a sudden they’re constantly calling each other and rolling wants to hang out.
The other kids are living their lives quietly and slowly trying to acquire girlfriends. John’s latest conquest is Kenyatta Greenfield.
Mark is still working on Mona, but sometimes their “Evil Plot” competitions make them jealous of each other.

Mark will get angry and yell, but she just laughs in his face. Oh the joys of two evil sims interacting.
Mark’s birthday finally arrived, and Luke threw a small party for him.
He grew up into a VERY handsome adult and rolled kleptomaniac as his final trait.
Now that both he and Mona are adults, they can finally take their relationship to the next step. She’s quite pretty for an auto-generated sim.
Mark proposed to Mona less than an hour after his birthday. Luke seems to fail to realize how important this moment is; all he can think about it cake.
Mark used the computer first to get a job in the criminal career, then to move out.
Mark moved to a quaint little house and yet again spent all of Luke’s money.
He and Mona got married privately in front of their new house.
With one less sim in the house to worry about, Luke and Traci were able to concentrate on themselves.
While Luke was writing and painting, Traci was working on her logic and challenging opponents.
One day, Luke decided to invite Christopher over for old times’ sake. When she arrived, I was utterly amazed. Apparently she’d married Ethan Bunch and is now pregnant!
Christopher was still bitter about Luke’s “betrayal”.
She expressed her hurt feelings to Luke. Although he’d found a new love and had built a new life, he still cared for his friend and apologized profusely. Their friendship was quickly recovered after that/
Luke was very excited at the knowledge that Christopher would be a mother. He cooed and played with her belly, and began to wonder why he and Traci weren’t trying to have a child of their own. They hadn’t even woohoo’ed yet!
After Christopher left, he drew Traci into bed.
Luke: “So… um… we’re in bed but what do we do now?”
Traci: “No idea.”
They started with a little kissing…
… and eventually figured the rest out. I heard the lullaby
.
The next day, I sent Traci down to the supermarket and bought her a few dozen melons. After making the mistake of having Elysia eat nothing but apple pancakes during her pregnancy, I am NOT taking any chances. Traci is eating NOTHING but melons.
Being the couch potato she is, Traci didn’t take her eyes off the TV for the entire first day of her pregnancy.
John and Matthew were pretty neglected during this time, but they coped by spending more time with their prospective girlfriends.
The same day Traci became pregnant, Luke celebrated a birthday.
He only became an adult, thankfully. He’s still insanely handsome.
Finally, Traci spun into her baby-wear. I’d never seen that outfit before, I like it a lot better.
Matthew was happy that Traci was pregnant; that meant she spent more time working on her needs and in front of the TV, keeping him company. The talked about baby things and watched Kidz Zone all day to get inspired.
Right around this time, John rolled the lifetime wish to reach the top of the medical career. Matthew spun the wish to reach the top of the science career. I accepted the wishes for both of them.
The next day was John’s and Matthew’s birthday. Since I hadn’t discovered you could age them up like three days before their birthday until Matthew was born, he caught up to John in age. Luke threw a party and invited all the family friends. Paul came with his old high school crush, Chastity.
Mark arrived with his wife, who’s HEAVILY pregnant. This is pretty exciting, since I’d never directed them to woohoo or anything.
Mona is flirty, and as soon as she arrived at the party she tried to smooch Luke. He just wasn’t having any of that though. Yay for Luke.
Eventually, everything was arranged for John and Matthew to blow out the candles.
John grew up to be decently attractive, and rolled daredevil as his final trait.
Matthew aged up next.
The shirt/vest totally match the mullet. Matthew is straight out of the ‘80s. He rolled frugal as his final trait.
Matthew moved in with Lora Alvi (Christopher’s niece or something) and Lora’s mother, and immediately got married.
John moved into the Greenfield house… er, mansion… but is still just friends with Kenyatta.
The next day, when Traci invited the next-ranked-chess-champion over, Mark showed up on the doorstep. I guess he’s progressed his logic skills a lot in the 5 days since he moved out. And look who he brought with him, and new baby girl named Margie! Girls ARE possible in this game!
Mark deposited her on the floor, but Luke was quick to swoop in and hog the baby for quite some time.
Traci, of course, beat Mark and he went crawling home with his baby.
As soon as Mark left, Traci went into labor.
Traci: “Luke, stop yawning! Can’t you see I’m in labor here?!”
What’s this basket I spy? And why is she not holding a baby? Tune in next time to find out! Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it! Look for a new chapter in a couple days or so.
As for the spares, Matthew veggies out in front of the television…
Chapter 4
Hey everyone, welcome back! When we last left off, Elysia had gone into labor with her fifth child.
Elysia rushed off to the hospital. She ran by the entire Bakshi family, and they were all so shocked at the sight of a woman in labor that they stood screaming and yelling outside of the hospital door.
Soon enough, Elysia brought home yet another baby boy, Matthew. He was born with the heavy sleeper trait locked in and rolled couch potato as his second trait. His favorite music is custom, food is stu surprise, and his favorite color is aqua.
Is it just me or is Elysia picking up a few wrinkles?
Everyone was so preoccupied with Matthew’s birth that John’s birthday went unnoticed. He’s very… bald. I still don’t see any differences in the face from the other babies but oh well.
Gage felt bad that Paul was being neglected, what with all the other babies in the house, so he took him out fishing late one night. From that moment on, Paul was hooked. (Yes, that pun was intended).
Luke was feeling a little neglected as well, so he took a classmate out for a little late-night visit to the art gallery.
Luke was feeling a little neglected as well, so he took a classmate out for a little late-night visit to the art gallery.
Mark, the adorable albeit evil little munchkin, was completely oblivious to the goings-on of the household.
With two toddlers and a baby in the house, no one was able to get a full night’s rest. Maybe that’s where all of Elysia’s wrinkles are coming from.
Every wink of sleep Elysia could get was truly treasured.
One night, Elysia woke up from some much-needed sleep to celebrate her birthday.
With that, Elysia sprouted a few more wrinkles.
Paul had continued to go out and fish in his every free moment, and eventually caught his first fish: a minnow. He bought an aquarium and put the minnow in it, naming it Korey.
Soon, it was Mark’s birthday. I honestly can’t believe I made it to this point; all the juggling and screaming was driving me insane.
He looks VERY different from Luke and Paul. No common features whatsoever. He rolled genius as his third trait.
Matthew grew up as well. He’s a very cute toddler, I like his eyes.
Mark immediately ran to play with the toys. He seemed to enjoy playing with the cars and trucks, and made them crash. Probably because of the evil trait.
When it was time for bed, Mark when off to get some “evil slumber” and changed into his formalwear. I’m thoroughly enjoying the insane/evil traits right about now.
Mark’s first day of school, he went in his underwear. I’m amazed he didn’t get kicked out!
He went over to a classmate’s house and struck up a heated conversation with her plant. I think he tried eating it as well.
Back at the home base, John had a little too much fun watching TV.
Luke began to work on his novels, since his Lifetime Wish is to become an illustrious author. He invited Christopher over for some inspiration only to find she’d grown to a young adult.
All of a sudden, Luke realized it was time for him to age into a young adult as well.
Luke grew up into a very handsome adult. He looks so much like his dad, except for his mom’s hair. Luke’s fifth and final trait was rolled as Lucky. To sum up his traits, they’re Excitable, Brave, Artistic, Mooch, and Lucky.
Since Luke was back on the same age level as Christopher, he promptly proceeded to make out with her and finally broke his writer’s block. He began a sci-fi novel called “The Purple Hippo With Balloon Lips”.
Luke spent the next few days completing his inspired novel. He spent no time whatsoever with the family.
Mark found Luke’s disconnection from the family very amusing. He cackled and pointed at Luke as much as possible.
Back on the baby side of life, Gage spent as much time as possible with the kids. They’re growing up fast, after all. Just not fast enough for me.
Paul’s birthday came up and Elysia invited all the females of her acquaintance.
One of the invites was this teen, Chastity La Brae. She and Paul had already built up a little bit of a relationship at school and he couldn’t bear to age up without her present.
When Paul went to blow out the candles, he set the whole counter on fire. Look at that innocent face.
Luke got right on top of things and put out the fire, all on his own. I blame the Brave trait.
Unfazed by the flames, Luke did his best to get the party back on track.
Paul grew up into a decent-looking teen. Now you can tell that there’s a definite difference between him and Luke. They have different eyes, mouths and noses, let alone different hair color. He rolled loves the outdoors as his fourth trait.
Paul went off and changed his hair style to something slightly more attractive.
While Paul’s back was turned, his best friend Jeff went and moved in on his woman.
Paul celebrated his birthday by fishing, as per his character.
He caught many lovely fish…
… and took them home as pets. The same day, he rolled the Lifetime Wish to develop the Perfect Aquarium.
Unfortunately, Paul stayed out a little too late fishing and got picked up by the cops.
Gage was pretty upset with him.
Gage: “What were you thinking? I never should have taken you out fishing that day, you can’t think of anything else!”
Paul: “I can too think of things other than fishing, I’ll show you!”
Paul meant what he said, and decided to make it his prerogative to acquire a girlfriend.
Paul thought and thought and thought, but couldn’t figure out how to just conjure a girlfriend out of thin air.
While Paul was thinking, John got just a little bit older. His birthday finally arrived.
John grew into a cute little boy. He looks a lot like mark, especially in the eyes. His third trait is can’t stand art.
I’m already sick of the short fuzzy haircut, so John got a new one immediately. I figured this baseball cap was appropriate since John is athletic.
While the rest of the house has been living out their lives, Luke has been living art. He does nothing other than paint and write novels. In fact, his relationship with Christopher has suffered greatly.
One day, Hank called Paul and invited him out to the park. Paul figured it would be a good opportunity to meet girls.
The only one he met was Traci Wilkinson, a girl he’d talked to a couple times in elementary school. It appears she’d grown into a slightly attractive adult. For some reason I like how her hair is so blonde it’s almost white. It’s different than all the brunettes in the city.
Paul didn’t even try with Traci, and ended up spending the night making funny faces while fishing.
Paul went home and told Luke about his run-in with Traci, so Luke decided to call her up and invite her to the art gallery. He’d known her in school as well.
They became friends pretty quickly and Luke worked all his best moves on her.
Luke: “Traci, you’re so pretty that if you were a picture you’d be a tropical sunset.”
Luke was so excited about his new blossoming romance, he had to run home and tell someone. That someone happened to be John.
Luke: “John, I know you’re a little boy and you wouldn’t understand but I’m so excited right now!”
Luke was so excited about his new blossoming romance, he had to run home and tell someone. That someone happened to be John.
Luke: “John, I know you’re a little boy and you wouldn’t understand but I’m so excited right now!”
Luke couldn’t keep away from Traci for more than a few hours. Their relationship progressed quickly.
He shyly asked her to go steady. She most definitely agreed, I mean how could you resist this face?
Matthew, probably the most neglected child ever born, finally had his birthday.
He grew up into a happy-looking child, with slob as his third trait.
Mark had his birthday as well.
His evil eyebrows suit him. He rolled Inappropriate as his fourth trait.
Mark, being the evil genius he is, wanted to learn the intricacies of chess right away. I set him to it and after only a couple hours as a teen, he rolled the lifetime wish to become the Emperor of Evil. I accepted it for him.
With all the toddlers grown and able to care for themselves, Elysia and Gage decided to rekindle their relationship. Apparently Traci found the sight of elder romance intriguing.
The next morning, all the kids went off to school and for the first time in four weeks the house was quiet.
A little too quiet for Elysia’s taste. She couldn’t wait for the kids to come home from school and welcomed them warmly.
Although Matthew had been neglected as a toddler, he knew he was loved.
One evening, as Gage was leaving work, his end arrived.
He turned into a ghost…
… and the grim reaper arrived.
Gage passed away outside the science lab, with no one to witness his death.
Epitaph: Gage was married to Elysia as a last-resort. He fathered three children and helped to raise two more. He lived a quiet life, and never fulfilled his dream to become a robot cross-breeder. Gage lived to be 99 years old. He probably won’t be missed very much, as he really didn’t do anything.
After Elysia found out Gage had passed away, she invited Hank over to console her.
Everyone in the house was pretty distraught.
Elysia smothered her grief by finally letting Hank know how she’d felt about him since she first moved in to the city. That’s right folks, Elysia and Hank shared their first non-cuddling kiss ever! And you know what that means? Hank is finally Elysia’s romantic interest!
Elysia weighed her new-found freedom and decided there was no time to waste. She promptly proposed to Hank. He accepted.
Paul couldn’t understand how his mother could get over Gage’s death so quickly. Gage was the only father he’d ever known, really. He ran into Chastity’s comforting arms.
Luke decided he needed some comforting as well. He invited Traci over, and she came in her best funeral-wear.
Elysia and Hank were so happy that fate had finally brought them together. They couldn’t wait any longer to finally get married.
They exchanged rings on the front lawn, right where they had shared their first kiss and where Elysia proposed.
Luke was so inspired by his parent’s nuptials, he proposed to Traci right then and there. She, too, accepted. Apparently everyone wants to marry into the Haight family.
The whole neighborhood rejoiced in the marriage. They even littered the living room with rice.
Later that night, I went out and found Gage’s tombstone. I placed it in the back yard so he could forever be with his family.
Even though Elysia was happy to finally be with Hank, she still missed Gage. He was the father of three of her children, after all.
Elysia and Hank were oblivious to anything but each other, so the kids had to entertain themselves. John did this by spending time at the gym.
He was probably the most athletic person there.
Hank did his best to get to know his children and step-children. Mark didn’t really want any part of it, though.
On the third night after Gage’s death, he came out to haunt.
I was expecting something a little more ghostly, though. All Gage did was play on the computer…
… and fall asleep. Paul found this utterly disgusting.
The days flew by and John’s birthday came up.
He grew up into a wide-eyed teen with childish as his fourth trait.
He needed a new hair cut, and since teens are lacking in the hat department he went with the good old buzz cut. The hair makes him look even more like Gage.
Since John has the childish trait, he can still play with toys. I find this highly amusing (as does he, apparently).
Now that John’s a teen, he’s able to go jogging. He spent the entire weekend jogging and getting buff.
Hank and Elysia remain oblivious to anything going on in the house. Matthew remains neglected and spends all his time watching TV.
Elysia is utterly happy and fulfilled. She needs nothing more than for Matthew to grow up; then, her life will be complete.
While all this has been going on, Luke has been trying to complete his lifetime wish. Only a few more points, and he will be an illustrious author.
On the day of Matthew’s birthday, Elysia was so excited she waited outside for the school bus to come home.
Only a small family gathering witnessed the last child of the second generation grow into a teen.
He grew up with very… special… hair and a little tummy. He rolled coward as his fourth trait.
Matthew needed a haircut, and I decided a mullet would be perfect for a cowardly, heavy-sleeping, couch-potato, slob. He looks so insanely creepy but I like it.
With all the kids grown, it’s time to pick the heir! And you, my lovely readers, will be the ones to choose! Will it be Luke, the Excitable, Brave, Artistic, Lucky Mooch with the lifetime wish to be an illustrious author?
Or will it be Paul, the Absent-Minded, Never-Nude, Outdoors-loving Loner with the lifetime wish to acquire the perfect aquarium?
What about Mark, the Insane, Evil, Inappropriate Genius with the lifetime wish to become the Emperor of Evil?
Or John, the Athletic, Art-hating, Childish Genius with no lifetime wish as of yet?
Last but not least, Matthew, the Cowardly, Heavy-sleeping, Couch Potato Slob with no lifetime wish yet?
Well that’s all folks! Head over to http://www.forums.boolprop.com/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=40358&p=1089354#p1089354 to vote for the heir! Thanks for reading, and check back next week for an update and the results of the heir poll!
Chapter 3

Last we left off, Elysia and Gage had exchanged vows in front of a very large congregation.
One of the congregants was Christopher Alvi, the daughter of Helga (an experimental sim I made) and Iqbal Alvi. Apparently she’s a teen now, and has horrible fashion sense.
As the wedding party was winding down, Hank drew Luke into a quiet corner and expressed his feelings.
Hank: “You’re my only child, and we hardly even know each other. Why don’t you come live with me and give your mom some privacy with her new husband?”
Luke: “Sorry Dad, that’s not the way legacies work. Maybe if I’m not voted as the heir.”
As a gift for the newly-weds, I built a little room off the upstairs hallway so they can have some privacy.
Elysia’s and Gage’s first day as an official couple passed quietly. Elysia is definitely showing her pregnancy, but Gage was kind enough not to say anything.
Christopher invited herself to spend the night. Luke spent the whole evening talking to her and soon they became fast friends.
The day after the wedding, Elysia went into labor.
A few hours and a hospital visit later, Paul Haight was welcomed into the world. He was born with the Loner trait locked in, and rolled “Absent minded” as his second trait.
The night of Paul’s birth, a burglar came by.
I guess the stove was the most attractive thing in Elysia’s house. I was burgled last month; I wish they’d taken my stove instead of my TV’s, video games, and computer .
Elysia called the cops and then went and confronted the intruder herself.
She attacked him, but he thoroughly kicked her butt. The cop seemed slightly amused by this.
Luke’s birthday came around after the burglary, and only Clark and Christopher were invited.
Luke grew up into an okay-looking teen. Definitely has more of his dad in him than his mom. He rolled “Mooch” as his fourth trait.
Now that both Luke and Christopher are teens, Luke took the opportunity to ask Christopher if she’s single. Of course she said yes.
Luke worked his moves on her and she happily responded.
While Luke and Christopher were heating things up downstairs, Elysia and Gage decided to heat things up upstairs. They’d been married for a few days now, and hadn’t woohoo’ed yet. That’s about to change.
Luke takes care of Paul mostly, as Elysia and Gage are too absorbed in their marital bliss.
One day and a few woohoo’s later, Elysia’s nauseous. I don’t think it’s from eating bad food, either.
Elysia’s new pregnancy didn’t faze Luke; in fact, he decided to visit the gym and dragged Christopher along with him.
Luke set Christopher up on a treadmill and he went and introduced himself to all the women in sight. This is Christopher’s sister, Dara. She’s got an interesting, different, exotic look. I kinda like it.
Back at home, Elysia began to show the first signs of pregnancy.
Paul’s birthday arrived, and just in time, what with the new baby on the way. All the friends of Elysia, Gage, and Luke were invited.
Paul grew up and appears to be almost identical to Luke, except for the darker hair.
Elysia decided to get as many of Paul’s lifetime skills out of the way as quickly as possible, before the new baby arrives.
In fact, the pregnancy is weighing heavily (no pun intended) on Elysia’s mind. How will her children handle having a half-brother/half-sister? Will there be a negative impact on them since she was never married to their father?
With the attenetion shifted away from Luke, he’d taken up painting. His paintings slowly began to look quite good.
Gage is absolutely thrilled that he’s going to be a father. He listens/talks to/feels Elysia’s tummy constantly. He dreams of all the Simoleans his intelligent, successful child will earn.
Elysia went into labor so she and Gage headed off to the hospital. You’d think that the guy would drive if the woman was in labor, but I guess that’s not the case in the Sims.
This little hospital visit brought Mark into the world. Yep, that’s right, another boy. He was born with the Insane trait locked in, and rolled Evil as his second trait.
I had switched lots for a few minutes to catch up on the goings-on in the rest of the neighborhood, and when I refocused on the Haights I found Luke off visiting a random neighbor.
He invited himself into this random person’s house and promptly invaded her bar.
Elysia had stationed herself in the central park and was playing music for tips. Apparently my Sims lead much more interesting lives when I’m not controlling them.
From the looks of it, my Sims lead VERY interesting lives when I’m away. Elysia popped a pregnancy bump a few sim hours after I refocused my attention on the house. I hadn’t directed her or Gage to woohoo since Mark was born. Interesting.
Mark mainly lies in his crib all day. The maid (a different one comes every day, which is a little annoying) finds babies disgusting from the looks of it.
One night, Luke wanted to stay out after curfew so he invited Christopher down to the graveyard. They exchanged scary stories for a little while then went exploring.
The ghosts were out rampant that night.
Luke felt bad for the child-ghost, and tried to make friends with her. She invited him to look through the mausoleum.
I guess the mausoleum was a little scarier than planned, because Luke came out looking like this and literally ran home screaming.
The next day, it was time for Mark’s birthday. Hank came to help celebrate and visit with his sons.
Mark grew up into a cute little toddler, but he appears almost exactly the same as both Luke and Paul. Maybe it’s just because this is such a new game to me; if I remember correctly, I used to think everyone in Sims 2 seemed the same at first.
Elysia took a moment to sweetly snuggle the youngest member of her family. With the new baby just about ready to be born, there’s not going to be much time to bond.
Unfortunately, since Elysia is so busy with her pregnancy, Luke is left to care for the kids and doesn’t have much time to take care of himself.
She does what she can, when she can, though. Look at that sweet little face, how can he have the evil trait?
Every time Luke tries to take a minute to himself, one of the toddlers starts crying. This makes his mood even worse.
After a few days of teenhood, I decided Luke needed a new look. I changed his hair style and gave him some sideburns. He’s a LOT cuter now, and most definitely resembles his father.
The new ‘do didn’t do much for his mood/needs, though.
In fact, everyone’s needs in this house are in the red. Which means the moods are also awful. The toddlers do nothing but scream, and I want to pull my hair out. This new baby couldn’t be coming at a worse time.
Right as I was thinking this, Elysia went into labor.
Even though Gage had already witnessed the birth of one child, he was utterly dumfounded.
Gage: “You’re in labor, what do I do?! Want me to squeeze it out for you or something?!”
Yet another boy in the family. This one is named John. He was born with the Genius trait locked in and he rolled athletic as his second trait.
One of the random doctors at the hospital found Elysia’s bunch of boys hilarious. He poked fun at her long after she’d headed home.
Right around this time, Elysia had earned enough rewards points to get a new Lifetime Wish. Since she hadn’t worked in several weeks and was nowhere near achieving her wish of becoming Jack of All Trades, I chose the wish “Surrounded by Family” for her. This means she wants to raise 5 kids from baby to teen. I guess we’d better get on top of making baby number 5!
The toddlers of the house make such a huge ruckus, everyone else in the house is permanently exhausted.
It usually takes a lot of juggling and maneuvering to get them into this peaceful state.
As soon as the toddlers fall asleep, more often than not, the baby begins to cry and wakes the toddlers up. This means a few more hours of juggling until both fall asleep at the exact same time.
Since Luke has been painting his heart out almost nonstop in all his free time, he rolled the Lifetime Want to become an Illustrious Author. I accepted it for him. He’s already almost maxed out the painting skill So halfway there!
It soon became apparent that Elysia was pregnant again. Hopefully this will be the last time.
Elysia likes to watch over the toddlers as they play. Paul likes to climb inside the toy box and play peek-a-boo in there. I find that absolutely adorable.
On the day of Paul’s birthday, Elysia threw yet another party with the usual crowd. Luke did nothing but make out with Christopher, as usual.
Strangely enough, everyone had disappeared by the time Paul was ready to blow out the candles.
He grew up into an average looking child. At least there is a small but noticeable difference between Paul and Luke: their noses and mouths are different. Paul rolled never nude as his third trait.
Paul quietly went off to play with his dollhouse. I guess he was used to playing alone, since all the other babies/toddlers in the house hogged Elysia’s attention.
With one less toddler in the house to look after, Luke was able to spend more time honing his painting skills. I am thoroughly appreciating the variety of pictures Sims can paint now; almost all the blank walls in the house are covered with Luke’s paintings now.
Elysia went into labor late one night. She immediately rushed off to the hospital. Will the baby be another boy? Or will it finally be the girl Elysia’s been hoping for? Tune in to the next chapter to find out!
Chapter 2
Welcome back to my first Sims 3 legacy attempt. Last we left off, Elysia had woohoo’ed both Hank and Clark and ended up pregnant.
Elysia’s maternity clothes aren’t what I would have chosen, but I guess it works.
Elysia immediately called Justine to share her news. I kinda like excitable Sims… probably because I’m excitable myself.
The next day, Elysia went to Hank’s house to tell him that he might be a father in person. She was more than a little jealous of his nicely decorated home.
Pauline, Hank’s fiancée, greeted Elysia outside and invited her in. This girl is kind of pretty; Elysia was intimidated and afraid of telling her that she’d been having an affair with this girl’s fiancé.
Elysia spent a little while talking about her impending motherhood. Pauline was kind enough to listen, not for one minute suspecting the child might be her husband-to-be’s. NOTE: I love how the pregnancy belly growth is gradual.
Pauline had a lot of fun talking to Elysia’s belly.
Hank was running late coming home from work so Elysia and Pauline just danced for a little while and then Elysia headed home.
Soon, Elysia went into labor.
Clark freaked out.
Elysia: “Clark, calm down, just take me to the hospital okay?”
Elysia ran down to the hospital, and Hank autonomously met her there. I guess that answers the question as to who the baby’s father is.
Everyone, say hello to Luke Haight. His family tree confirms Hank is the father. He was born with Excitable as a locked in trait, and I was able to choose Brave as a second trait. His favorites are food: peanut butter and jelly, music: classical, color: black.
Hank followed Elysia home to make she and his child were safe. He couldn’t believe he was actually a father.
Hank followed Elysia home to make she and his child were safe. He couldn’t believe he was actually a father.
Elysia, Clark and Luke were asleep so I decided to spy on the rest of the neighborhood. This little girl is what I found. Her name is Christopher (yes, Christopher… thanks for the screwy name-gender associations EA), and her parents are… Iqbal Alvi and Helga. Apparently they got married and had a child while I wasn’t looking. I can’t wait to see what this poor girl looks like.
I’d switched to the Alvi family for a few minutes to confirm that Christopher truly was Iqbal and Helga’s daughter, and when I switched back Pauline was in Elysia’s living room, sobbing. I guess she felt the need to ask why Elysia had stolen her perfect fiancé and had had a child with him.
Elysia threw a party to welcome Luke into the world, and in the middle Justine began making funny faces and panting like she was in labor. She’s not visibly pregnant, so I don’t know if this is a glitch or something.
I turned away from the computer for a few seconds, and when I turned back this old man had invited himself into Elysia’s house and was smooching her. He’s now Elysia’s one and only love interest; in fact, this man is Simis Bachelor and is happily married to Jocasta. My thoughts are that romantic interests are random; this is going to make match-making a lot more difficult.
Babies are a lot needier in the Sims 3, and a lot uglier as well. Is that supposed to be a blue cocoon or something? In any case, I’m fond of Luke as he’s the first born in this new game for me!
For a few minutes, I toyed with the idea of having Elysia fall in love with Simis and marry him; I even got as far as almost having them woohoo. In the end, though, I decided she needed someone younger and without a ready-made family.
Luke peacefully rests in his crib (the lining, by the way, matches the bed covers… I adore the new styling tools!), waiting for his birthday to arrive.
Elysia brings Luke to visit Hank as much as possible. Even though Hank’s not engaged anymore, Elysia can’t perform any new romantic interactions with him .
A couple days after Luke’s birth, Elysia decided to throw him a birthday party. She invited all the usual crew as well as some random acquaintances, in the hopes of finding a love interest.
One of the random party guests kidnapped Luke so Elysia couldn’t bring him to the cake.
Since we can’t progress until the baby is dropped, Elysia took the opportunity to ask if this chunker is single. Not surprisingly, he is.
The random party guest finally released the baby, and Elysia was able to bring him to the cake.
Luke isn’t exactly the cutest toddler in the world, be he’s still adorable. No, cute and adorable are not the same thing.
Luke promptly commandeered the xylophone.
I guess parents can join toddlers and play with their toys together. I definitely like this.
Luke is pretty much pampered. Is it just me or is he getting cuter as the hours wear on?
On Elysia’s first day back at work after her maternity leave, she was finally promoted to level 5 of the law enforcement career. One down, three to go.
Elysia went to a movie to celebrate, and decided to introduce herself to every man she could find. After all, she is starting to get up there in age and I want her to get married to SOMEone!
While Elysia was off cavorting with the locals, Clark stayed at home and taught Luke how to speak.
Unfortunately, there was some sort of glitch and even though I’d cancelled out the “Teach to speak” action for both Clark and Luke, they were frozen in position. Both of their moods dropped so low that I was worried they were going to die.
I ended up moving the family out, and then back in. Fortunately all their furniture and stuff was still exactly as I’d left it: yet another feature of the Sims 3 that I really like.
Elysia took the opportunity to teach Luke how to walk.
As a gift for reaching level 5 of the law enforcement track, Elysia received a police car. This is most definitely a good thing, since she’s always broke.
Even though I said Elysia’s usually broke, there’s enough in the bank to have a little hired help.
Elysia quit law enforcement and got a job in the music career.
Elysia’s life was looking up: nice home, adorable child, good friends, and new job. The only problem was that Elysia still had no love interest. She decided to try again to kindle a flame between her and Clark.
Before they could get started, though, Elysia hopped out of bed and started celebrating her birthday. It’s only from young adult to adult, so it’s not that big of a deal.
Clark also had a birthday to celebrate, although he was aging into elderhood. I realized he’d been living with Elysia for a few weeks and their relationship was absolutely awful, let alone the fact that they weren’t love interests. I decided to “kick Clark out”. He moved into one of the empty houses in town and spent the rest of his days as a bachelor there.
Elders are a lot uglier now.
In the mean time, Elysia has been powering her way up the music career track. Promotions make her happy.
Luke is such a good, quiet little toddler. He’s more than happy to cuddle/eat his teddy bear. He named the teddy bear Berjes. Yet another feature of Sims 3 I like.
Luke’s next birthday rolled around and Elysia threw a giant party for him. She invited every eligible bachelor she knew, still hoping to find a love interest.
Since Elysia was too busy working the single men, Clark helped Luke to the birthday cake.
Luke grew up into a… somewhat unattractive child. He rolled artistic as his third trait.
None of Elysia’s entire male acquaintance proved to be a romantic interest, so later that night Elysia wandered into town to meet some new men.
While she was down there, an older woman was yelling and crying. From the looks of it… the man she’s thinking of… broke her heart?
A minute later, the woman turned into a ghost.
The grim reaper came and took the woman on to the afterlife.
Her tombstone is now embedded in the sidewalk outside the movie theater.
While all this was going on, Luke had finished his first painting. It’s not what I’d call a masterpiece, but it works. Kids can be left home alone now.
Elysia had a little bit of money in the bank so she built an extra room for Luke. Of course, Berjes moved into the room with him.
Elysia had the day off and Luke was at school, so she went out to scout for more possible love interests. She met Robby Crosby, the mailman, and I instantly realized his pretty-baby-making potential.
At the end of Luke’s first day of school, he came out of the building following Christopher Alvi. Yes, this ugly little girl is the daughter of Iqbal and Helga.
She invited him over and they spent the afternoon doing homework together. By the way, that’s a very citrus-y room.
The kids do their homework autonomously now, which is a huge plus. They’re concentrating so hard .
Elysia invited Robby Crosby over the same day they met. He is DEFINITIELY the best looking male sim I’ve seen so far. His genes DEFINITELY need to make their way into this family. I just hope he becomes a love interest!
Since it’s the weekend, Elysia sent Luke off to the community pool so she could enjoy her afternoon with Robby.
Elysia was able to lure him into bed, but unfortunately that was as far as their relationship went.
He refused when Elysia asked him to woohoo, and the harder she tried to impress him the less he liked her.
Robby went home as Elysia’s first enemy.
Over at the pool with Luke, Helga decided to get some sun. I guess something happened with Iqbal, and she’s pretty broken-hearted about it.
Eventually Luke came home and he and Elysia spent some time catching up. I love how Sims will automatically “Ask about day” with each other.
The next day, Elysia invited Justine over. She brought her… toddler? Wait, she was pregnant LONG before Elysia ever got pregnant so her kid should definitely be older than a child by now. Also, this is her only son, Jereme.
Elysia decided to throw a random house party and again invited a bunch of random acquaintances. Each one seemed to bring a friend, which is how Elysia met Gage Briody. I immediately saw his potential.
Elysia invited Hank over so he could spend some time with Luke. Elysia and Hank are still best friends even though they don’t see each other as much anymore.
Elysia may have had ulterior motives, though.
Almost immediately after woohoo’ing Hank, Elysia became nauseous. I have a feeling there might be another little Haight running around soon!
Elysia went to a movie the next night. Afterwards, Elysia donned her maternity outfit. Yep, baby number two is on the way!
Elysia invited Gage over the next day. She flirted, complimented, and flirted some more. All of a sudden, just when Gage thought she was “alluring”, more romantic interactions were unlocked! Maybe romantic interests aren’t random; maybe it requires a little finagling! In any case, Elysia shared her “first kiss” with Gage, and lo and behold, he became a romantic interest.
Elysia didn’t want to waste any time: she immediately asked him to go steady. Of course, he said yes. How could he turn down such a lovely lady?
Elysia didn’t want to stop there, though. After all, she’d been waiting for close to 40 days to find a suitable romantic interest. She proposed to Gage right after he agreed to go steady.
Again, how could he say no? NOTE: Is it just me or is Elysia developing a few wrinkles? She’s only about 19 days away from elderhood at this point.
Elysia invited all of her closest friends over, and exchanged wedding vows in the middle of her living room. They lived happily ever after…
… at least until the next chapter comes out! Thanks for reading, check back soon (again, probably in a couple hours) for the next chapter! Hope you enjoyed it!
Chapter 1
Hi, and welcome to my first Sims 3 legacy! You may remember me from all my Sims 2 legacy attempts… Well, this is a new beginning!
This is my founder (and failed simself), Elysia Haight. Those lovelies in the background are a family I made and moved in as a little experiment. You’ll probably see them running around town.
Elysia’s personality is Excitable, Workaholic, Computer Whiz, Party Animal, and Family Oriented. Her favorites are food: cookies, music: latin, color: aqua. Her Lifetime Wish is to be Jack of All Trades (reach level 5 in 4 careers).
Since lots are so insanely cheap now, this is the house I was able to build. I never claimed to be an architect. BUT, to offset the ease of this luxurious house, the next generation will have to start all over with a new lot.
An inside shot for those who like this sort of thing.
An upstairs shot.
Elysia’s first decision was to go read a book. Apparently the bookshelves come stocked with only a couple of books now.
Since there are no chairs in the house to speak of, Elysia promptly laid in bed to read her chosen book. See that nose? Yeah, I tried, but my nose/face definitely doesn’t look like that.
After reading for a little bit, Elysia wandered to the house across the street to meet my experimental family. Her first acquaintance was this lovely fellow, Adam Newmann.
Elysia invited herself inside after meeting Adam. I absolutely love this feature. These are Adam’s housemates: Jacob, Anna, and Teresa. (Sorry that the walls are down, apparently you can’t adjust them after you’ve hit Tab and my style is always to put them up and adjust the camera AFTER hitting Tab).
Elysia: “OMG I just moved into a new house and it’s all sparkly and amazing!”
Jacob: “Um… that’s great… Can you go now? It’s way too crowded in here and I’m a loner.”
Elysia followed Jacob’s orders and continued wandering down the street until she discovered a cute little park: nothing like reading a good book in a park on a nice sunny day.
As Elysia was heading home, she ran into this handsome hunk. His name: Hank Goddard. He inspired Elysia to pick up a newspaper and get a job in the Law Enforcement career track.
Elysia continued to wander and found the big central park. She introduced herself to the only person there, Clark Sauer.
Elysia: “Yeah so I have this awesome cell phone in my inventory now!”
Clark: “Yeah… who cares? We all have one.”
A little message popped up saying one of Clark’s personality traits is “Grumpy”. Apparently.
Oh yeah, he’s definitely very grumpy.
There’s a pretty cool new feature where you can ask if the person is single. Clark is.
After Elysia asked if he was single, Clark turned around and literally ran away. Huh.
Elysia finished her afternoon quietly with a nice game of chess.
She reluctantly returned home to her empty house.
Elysia was pretty hungry, so she grabbed a bowl of cereal from the fridge. Since there are no chairs in the house, Elysia decided the toilet was a good place to sit down and have her meal. I kinda like this feature.
Yep, cereal tastes better on the toilet apparently.
Elysia is pretty taken with Hank. She can’t stop thinking/talking about him. I have to admit, he is kinda cute.
Elysia’s law enforcement job keeps her pretty busy during the week. At least she gets to go and hang out with Hank, though, since he’s her boss.
After work, Elysia goes to the park across the street and plays chess. Usually random people come and join in. It’s a decent way to meet people.
Otherwise, a quiet book at home is in order each night.
Sometimes, the neighbors travel out to the park together. Jacob, Anna, and Adam have already been introduced; the rather rotund lady behind Adam is Helga and the spiffy man in the suit is Raul.
Helga is, by far, my favorite of the bunch (albeit the ugliest). She seems to have more character.
Elysia didn’t feel like cooking one night, so she went to check out the restaurant.
Apparently eating at the bistro requires formalwear.
Hank showed up around the corner, so Elysia ran over to meet him. He has love on his mind, and that love had better be directed towards Elysia!
Elysia decided it was about time to let her crush know how she felt. She asked Hank if he was single.
Elysia: “Hank, I think you’re kinda awesome just so you know.”
Elysia: “Since I like you so much, I was thinking maybe I should make you a cd….”
Hank: “Why are you sitting here babbling to me about stupid feelings?! Can’t you see I’m starving to death here?!”
Hank left, and this “hunk” walked by. This is Iqbal Alvi, and apparently he’s Helga’s love interest. Elysia was so shocked by his unibrow, she couldn’t help but stare.
Several paychecks later, Elysia had saved enough to buy some home entertainment. I definitely like this at-an-angle thing.
Since Elysia is a Party Animal and always wanting to throw parties, I finally decided to indulge her. She invited her only friends: Hank and Justine Keaton, her coworker. Apparently Justine is very pregnant.
Since this is my first Sims 3 party and I don’t quite know how they’re rated, I figured food would be a good place to start. Since Hank and Justine arrived a lot earlier than expected, Elysia had to whip up a very quick Autumn Salad.
Justine apparently enjoyed the salad. In fact, she wolfed down several plates.
When Elysia’s at work, I zoom the camera into the central park and watch what’s going on in there. This is apparently the baby of the Bakshi family; he seems to be deserted. The hair color is a little funky, but babies still look a lot cuter than Sims 2 babies. NOTE: Um… what’s up with the chunky shadow under the baby? I have all the graphics settings turned up all the way and it runs just fine. If my computer can run Crysis with only very occasional lag, why can’t I have smooth shadows? .
Elysia was a little lonely so she invited Justine out to a movie. No more baby bump! She must have given birth or something.
After the movie, they went out to dinner. They had a nice quiet meal and enjoyed a relaxed silence while reading their respective materials.
The next day, Elysia had the day off. She decided to call Hank and invite him over, in order to get to know him a little better.
Apparently, Hank is engaged to someone named Pauline Wan. Oh well, Elysia can still flirt with him .
In fact, Hank is the one that put the moves on Elysia.
A little cuddling on the couch, and some kissing…
… and Hank decided to spend the night. The strange thing is, Elysia’s and Hank’s relationship bar is full yet they’re still just best friends. There aren’t any options under the romance interactions beyond flirting and complimenting. Maybe it’s just because he’s engaged to someone else.
Since Hank is off-limits, Elysia decided to invite her only other male friend, Clark, over. He’s still as grumpy as ever.
Elysia tried to flirt with Clark but he just wasn’t having any of it.
Eventually, Elysia just asked him to move in so that maybe later they could develop their relationship more.
Elysia decided to cook a welcome dinner for Clark and set her first fire.
I was hoping for a cute fire fighter but I guess not. You know what I realized? All of the fire fighters, even in Sims 2, have had red hair. Why is that?
Elysia has received a few promotions at work and finally gets a uniform. Since it’s work time for Elysia, you know what that means: let’s go see who’s at the park today!
Iqbal, Helga’s love interest, is taking a stroll with his son.
Helga decided to take a jog out to the park as well.
She met up with Iqbal and they shared a romantic moment.
He decided to propose to her, right in the middle of the park!
Right around the time Iqbal was proposing, Elysia finished with work for the day. She seems to enjoy having Clark living there, if only to have someone to enthuse about her promotions to.
I decided it was time for Elysia to woohoo. She and Clark have the same problem as she had with Hank: their relationship bar is full, but they’re still just best friends and there aren’t any romantic options other than flirting and complimenting. Maybe woohooing will turn Clark into Elysia’s love interest.
I like this rose petals feature, it’s kinda cute.
*Crickets chirping*
One day after work, Elysia met up with Hank in the park. Hank’s posture looks more than a little uncomfortable.
They cuddled on the bench for a while…
… and decided to take it home.
A few minutes later and both Elysia and Hank look blissfully happy, and just a little tired.
Neither Hank nor Clark has developed into a love interest for Elysia, even after woohooing both. I guess that means it’s time for Elysia to go out and meet new people and there’s no better place to do that than in the park! This piece of man meat isn’t exactly a choice cut, but beggars can’t be choosers I guess.
This is Michael Bachelor; he’s just a teen, but you can never start too early right?
One morning, Elysia woke up very nauseous. I imagine vomiting out of your eyes as well as your nose and mouth would be a bit uncomfortable.
Clark took no heed of Elysia’s stomach woes; his lifetime wish is to have a perfect garden and he spends all of his free time gardening.
All of a sudden, Elysia spun into different clothes and began rubbing her belly. Do I spy a pregnancy? And who’s the father? That’s the end of Chapter 1, check back soon (and by soon I mean a couple of hours) for the next chapter!
