Chapter 6

Welcome back to the Haight Legacy, the FIRST Sims 3 Legacy ever! When we last left off, Traci had just given birth and came out of the hospital carrying a basket. Want to know what that basket contained? Well…

It contained Estelle. Finally, a little girl! She was born with Artistic locked in, and rolled Clumsy. Her favorites are music: custom, food: Goopy Carbonara, color: lime.

The basket also contained Sky; yay, another girl! She also had Artistic locked in and rolled Athletic. Her favorites are music: Electronica, Food: Cheesesteak, color: hot pink.

Last but not least, the basket contained Naomi. Everyone guessed right, Luke and Traci had triplets! Naomi was born with Brave locked in, and rolled Neurotic. Her favorites are music: latin, food: spaghetti, color: black.

With three new babies in the house, I decided it was time to upgrade the house. Tore down EVERYthing, and completely rebuilt it from the ground up. Suprisingly, Luke and Traci only had $4000 cash so this is what was built with that plus the money from the house.

This is the downstairs. The color scheme is violet and black, since those are Traci’s and Luke’s favorite colors. From now on, with each generation, the color scheme will be redone to match the heir and his/her spouse’s favorite colors.

This is the upstairs. A lot of the old furniture has reappeared.

After the birth/unloading process was over, both Traci and Luke were exhausted. Hank’s ghost stepped up and took care of the babies while Luke and Traci got settled.

Hank clearly adores his grandchildren.

Hank carried Estelle, Sky, and Naomi off to bed while Luke and Traci enjoyed their last night of peaceful rest. Elysia watched over her grandchildren and Hank, and seemed supremely happy.

That’s right you two, enjoy it while you can. Even I know this is going to be torture.

The next morning, Hank was still floating around taking care of the babies. Luke sincerely thanked his father’s ghost before it floated back to its grave for the day.

As soon as Hank left, the babies woke up.  Luke tried to sneak out the door while Traci ran back and forth: feeding, changing, snuggling, non-stop for four hours.

Luke continued working on his painting and writing skills while Traci cared for the babies. Right around this time, I realized all of the pictures and paintings that had been stored in Luke’s inventory were gone; the pictures of Hank, Elysia, and Gage were lost and can never be replaced. I’m incredibly sad. Apparently inventory items disappear when you change houses, which I hadn’t known at the time.

In between feedings and changings, Traci found time to celebrate her birthday. She looks a little crazed, but she deserves to: she spends all day, every day, with the babies. As soon as one is happy, another needs something.

Elysia watches to make sure Traci is doing everything right. They’re both family-oriented, so they bonded quickly over the babies.

A few days after the babies were born, Luke threw a birthday party for the girls. He invited his brothers and their wives, as well as a few other in-laws.

Mark came over with his hardcore macaroni. Mark has gotten pretty scary with age, I wouldn’t want to mess with him.

The party didn’t get interesting until Matthew tried to flirt with Mona, Mark’s wife. Look how scared/disgusted her face is.

Once everyone had finally settled down, Traci brought Sky to the cake first.

Sky grew up into a very adorable little toddler. She has her mother’s hair and her father’s eyes.

Traci had to fight to get to the other babies to bring them to the cake. Mark would NOT stop picking the babies up. I would not want him touching my child.

Mark was particularly fond of Sky. He tossed her in the air over and over until they became good friends.

When Traci finally wrestled Estelle away and brought her to the cake, Luke once again set the pace of the party by standing right up front and blowing his party horn. I swear, every birthday that the household has ever thrown, Luke has been right up front and tooting.

Estelle has a cute little cherub face, but I don’t know how I feel about the hair. From the looks of it, she has her father’s hair and eyes.

Naomi was the last to grow up, but she didn’t make it to the cake. She seems to have Traci’s eyes and what seems to be a throw-back to Elysia’s hair.

The party guests finally left and Sky was happy to be alone and reminisce about her (and Estelle’s, and Naomi’s) special day.

All three little girls were equally tired so they all went quietly to bed at the same time.

The next day, Traci got right on top of teaching the girls their life skills.

Luke, on the other hand, decided it was more important that Estelle get a new haircut.

She came out looking pretty adorable. Definitely one of the cutest toddlers I’ve seen. She looks a lot like her father when he was a toddler.

Since Sky was with her mother and Estelle was with her father, Naomi was left to entertain herself. She did so by terrorizing the dollhouse and attempting to rip the dolls’ heads off. Look at that concentrated little face, she’s determined.

When Traci saw what was happening, she immediately grabbed Naomi and began to teach her how to talk: more specifically, how to voice her anger.

Traci: “Now when you’re feeling angry, don’t take it out on people or your dolls. Just go outside and throw a baseball around.”

Naomi’s not even paying attention to these important life lessons. Oh well.

Luke also tries to teach Estelle the facts of life.
Luke: “Someday you might be picked as heiress and you’ll have to find a boyfriend and get engaged. Can you say engaged?”

Luke eventually got bored and wandered off, leaving the remainder of Estelle’s lessons to Traci. She continued to teach Estelle about love and heartbreak. A girl is never too young to learn, apparently.

Poor Sky was ignored until Estelle and Naomi had learned how to talk. With triplets, one’s always left out.

The only break Luke had from child-rearing was to eat, sleep, and take care of bathroom business. The maid apparently enjoyed taking several lunch breaks each day, and kept Luke company. I’m not impressed with these maids at all.

After a few days of being cooped up in the house, Luke just had to get out. He decided to go visit Mona and Mark. Before knocked, he peeked in the window to make sure they were home. From the looks of it, Mona was exercising with a random rotund male.

When Luke finally went inside, he saw that Margie had grown up. Margie seems to have inherited Elysia’s hair as well. It looks really pretty against her darker skin.

Before Luke had even said hello, Mona immediately began to yell at him about Naomi. I guess she’s disturbed about the fact that Naomi likes to mutilate her toys. You’d think Mona would understand, considering she’s Evil.

Actually, I take that back. I’d be a little disturbed if Mona understood why a child would do THIS.

Sky, left on her own, had begun to pick up Naomi’s bad habits.

Estelle remained the adorable little girl she always was.

When Luke finally wandered home, he collapsed into bed alone. He’s always off doing one thing while Traci’s taking care of the kids. In fact, Luke and Traci haven’t spoken once since the triplets were born.

The next morning, while all three girls were still asleep, Luke and Traci finally found time to sit down together. Luke agreed to help out with the kids a little bit more so Traci could enjoy some time to herself.

With her newfound free time, Traci called Paul and caught up with each other. He said she and Luke should come over as soon as possible because he had a surprise to show them.

Luke immediately ran over to Paul’s house and Paul invited him in.

When Luke came very close to stepping on a little blue bundle, Luke immediately realized what Paul’s surprise was. Apparently he’d spawned a baby boy named Caleb.

Paul went and laid down as soon as he got in the house. I guess he was pretty tired from working full time and being a single parent.

Luke cared for Caleb while Paul relaxed. Then he realized: why was he at his brother’s house, taking care of his nephew, when he had three little girls at him that needed care?

Luke immediately rushed home and began to teach Estelle how to walk.

Traci had passed out from exhaustion, so Elysia picked up the slack.

Luke knows Elysia always helps out with the triplets when she comes out to haunt, so he always gets really excited when he sees her. I love excitable Sims.

Speaking of excitable, that will now be the family trait since that’s the only one both Elysia and Luke had in common.  I don’t mind, though, because I find it adorable that Luke does a little happy dance for everything. He makes the funniest faces, too.

One morning, Traci had an action in her queue that had something to do with a spying sim. I looked around the house and found the mail lady looking through the window. I found that absolutely hilarious.

Estelle took a page from the mail lady’s book and began to play peek-a-boo inside the toy box. I find this interaction absolutely adorable. Not that Estelle isn’t cute enough already, but this doesn’t hurt.

Sky does some pretty cute interactions as well. She basically tries to eat everything in sight.

Naomi seems to have mellowed out some, and walks around the house carrying her horse/thinking about horses constantly.

Traci was horrified by the spying and just needed to get out of the house. She wandered over to Matthew’s and Lora’s house, since her only friends are her in-laws.

Lora began sobbing at the sight of Traci. I think it was because she doesn’t have any children of her own, and Traci’s overabundance of children just exaggerates this fact.

Traci sat down to read, but what with Lora’s sobbing and Mona coming to visit as well, Traci just couldn’t get her peace and quiet.

Traci cared for Margie until she, too, realized she had her own children at home to care for and headed back.

Finally, after 6 ½ days of torture, the triplets’ birthday arrived. As always, Luke threw a party and invited all of the extended family, as well as some friends. As you can see, Mark’s wife, Mona, is heavily pregnant for the second time.

Little did they know, this party would be much more interesting than the others…

That’s it for this chapter folks, come back in a day or two for the next chapter! Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it!

Paul went and laid down as soon as he got in the house. I guess he was pretty tired from working full time and being a single parent.Paul went and laid down as soon as he got in the house. I guess he was pretty tired from working full time and being a single parent.
