Chapter 26
Welcome back! When we last left off, the 8th generation heir was to be chosen. You voted, and Nate was chosen! Excuse him for not seeming more excited; he expresses his emotions through art.
Unfortunately, my game became horribly corrupted. Try as I might, I couldn’t continue in Sunset Valley. I think it had something to do with trying to move Farid’s brother in with the family. Long story short, dozens of game hours lost, I decided to pack the family up and move them to a new ‘hood. Thus, Riverview became the family’s new home. Sadly, I lost all the other extended family; but, that’s nothing that can’t be rebuilt!
No one seemed to mind the move; they remained in their old house, and settled in quickly.
Charlie moved out quickly, and found new love immediately. In fact, he became somewhat of a player. Maybe he was trying to smother his loss of Sylvia de Santos.
Nate, as always, transferred Charlie’s hidden grief into a choice piece of art.
Charlie called each member of the family every day. It was kind of cute.
Rose was glad to be in a new neighborhood: always the adventurous one, change made her happy. Unfortunately, she was spending all her nights alone. Farid had been a hair away from his final promotion before the move, but sadly his performance was reset when they landed in Riverview.
Charlie stopped by every day.
This day, however, was Nat’s birthday to young adulthood.
The family gathered to see the 8th heir age up.
Nate grew up very well. He immediately ran down to the school to get a job. Yes, I downloaded the education career mod. I like variety.
The other family members were a bit neglected at this point. I’d played through so many days, over and over again, in the old neighborhood that I just wanted to rush and get this over with. Salah and Aaron grew inseparable.
Aaron’s birthday finally arrived, and was barely celebrated.
Being a bit outdoorsy, Aaron went for a more “natural” look as he aged.
Rose, who hadn’t travelled in ages and still had yet to reach visa level 3 in any country, headed off to China along with Farid and Nate.
While Rose quickly set off to business, Nate wandered around and met the locals. It was then that he laid eye on Xi Yuan.
Xi shooed her children in order to talk to Nate. They immediately hit it off.
Although Xi was married, she felt a strange need to impress Nate.
Nate stayed at Xi’s all of that first night, just talking.
Soon, Nate had developed feelings for Xi. He asked if she was single, only to find that she was married. Obviously, I mean where did her two kids come from?
In fact, Nate had the pleasure of meeting Xi’s husband the next day.
Nate didn’t let a thing as small as a husband deter him, though. He had developed fairly strong feelings for Xi and had to let them be known. She didn’t seem to feel the same, unfortunately.
Nate was persistent, though.
Soon, Xi gave in.
In the mean time, Rose had finally reached Visa Level 3.
The family returned home with yet another gnome. At least this one is a bit different.
Nate, completely smitten with Xi, invited her to come visit the next day.
Nate immediately asked Xi to leave her husband and move in. Of course, she said yes.
Ziyi, Xi’s daughter, also moved in. She immediately made herself right at home.
Xi and Louisa immediately bonded. They both had the same lifetime want: to max out both the athletic and martial arts skills.
I decided Xi needed a little… sprucing up. She’s actually quite pretty without that awful haircut.
Xi and Louisa went out and practiced, to achieve their lifetime wants.
Nate soon settled in and got back to painting.
Xi and Lousia did nothing but practice.
During this time, Ziyi was largely neglected. Rose stepped in to ensure the child was getting everything she needed. She didn’t complain once, though; at least her mom was happy.
One night, Nate woke up and knew there was something he had to do.
He immediately proposed to Xi. Will she marry him? Will they have children? Will Ziyi, Arron, and Louisa ever grow up and move out? Will Salah ever pass on to the next world? Find out in the next chapter!

I’m so glad that you updated! I’m living vicariously through your Sims legacy, since I bought the game and can’t use it on my outdated comp- blah! But I am saving up for a new comp (just for my Simmies), and I can’t wait to play it!!! Until then, I will stick to sims2, and reading your legacy! Thanks!!!
First comment! Hi, GRAYCURSE! I love your legacy and have been following it ever since it started. It’s definitely my favourite. I have a question for you: where do you get your mods and CC hairstyles? I really want to know. Do you still read stories on the Sims 3 site? If you do, can you check out my legacy? It would be a great honour. My name there is still gymnasticsfreak. Please tell me how it is! Also who you like best. That goes for the rest of you simmers out there too. Thanks,
Byes!!!:)
Hey Graycurse. I’m loving your legacy. I like how each generation brings something new to the table. I have a few question. How do you get the Education mode and how did you move your family to a new town? The current family I’m playing with is somewhat twisted because it seems that there are like clones of my female sim and her sisters in the town. thanks and keep up the great work. It’s so fun to watch each episode
Xi does look very pretty after her makeover!
And the gnome the Haight’s brought home from China is hilarious.
Also, congratulations on your new move to WordPress!
hey im really glad ur continuing ur legacy! and same question as EHmatus88 How do you get the Education mode and how did you move your family to a new town?
hey im really glad ur continuing ur legacy! and same question as EHmatus88 How do you get the Education mode and how did you move your family to a new town? ok thx if u can reply!
I’m so happy that you switched sites! Why won’t EA get that they are losing the best authors out there! You’d think they would fix that damn create-a-story! You’ll be happier here, and it’s much better than boolprop for comments. I hate that site too lol.
Anyway, great chapter!
So glad that you have joined our strike!
The picture quality is sooo much better! You can really see their faces! Great job! I should have added this to my last comment. Whoops.
Oh man… I should really stop doing that.. *sigh* just wanted you to know that you were my inspiration to start a legacy
It’s much different from the way you write yours, but you were still my inspiration! Keep writing!
really? wow. thats so so so cool. i never knew, cause like you said you write yours way different.
btw love both your legacies, graycurse and aoxa.
Can i just ask, do u still have the graves of Elysia and the rest of them? And amazing chapter, I was soooo excited for it!
I’ve been following your legacy from the beginning. I’ve enjoyed every chapter. I’m glad you moved
A new chapter was such a relief! I was beginning to wonder if you had quit forever, haha.
Like Aoxa said, the quality is amazing (:
Keep it up ^^
i really like this legacy i am starting one
I have to say that from day one your legacy has been amazing. Delightfully charming and I love your sense of humor. You take great pictures and each generation is very different from the next. It’s so much better than the “Shenston Legacy”, which was extremely predictable, while the author was verging on illiterate. I’m loving your legacy and I do hope you continue far beyond the 10th Generation, or of course, a new legacy.
hey Greycurse, glad theres a new chapter up! You have one of the best legacies out on the web and i thoroughly enjoy reading it. Most of the legacy stories on the sims3 now all are the same and have horrible writing, so whenever a new chapter comes out its like a breath of fresh air
keep writing ya hear?
I love it! Although I have not read some of the previous chapters do to an inconvenience, I immediately remembered some of the characters. I loved the chapter! Search for me on the Sims 3 (.) com, I do buildings and sims, but mostly buildings. Thank you, buh bye!
I love your legacy! I’ve read each chapter about 15 times, it’s great! I have the same question as many other fans:how do you get the education mod? It would be great if you could answer. Thanks!
So when is the next chapter coming out?
Congrats on removing your remarkable legacy from the despoiling grip of EA! Yours is the story that inspired me to start playing the sims. Now, sadly, Electronic Arts has basically ruined the online experience for me. Like a steadily decaying pile of particularity foul dog doo, EA has spread it’s corporate tentacles to every member of their site. Recently my (real world) friend was banned by them for a message she sent to another member- not to mention all the high profile bans accumulating. I think it’s time someone taught them a lesson: You can’t a fan site without fans.
Omg i love your legacies . . .your not done are you lol i feel like such a stalker for reading all of them lol anyway is there more?
Loving it
Could I ask if you’re thinking of uploading all the previous chapters to here? I can’t view them on original website and am desperate to see what happens in chapters 7 and beyond!
Love It, I tried rereading em on TS3.com but i have a dreaded glitch!(Read My Story)
I am dying to read the next chapter…. it has been months!!! PLEASEEEEEE!!!! I know that you have been playing, right??
I much prefer this legacy to everyone elses tries and fails on the sims website and I only just found out this one prevides pictures!
So anyway it has been months since this one came out and like a couple of other people have said please bring out the next chapters or so!
sweet. btw are u gunnaupload another soon? its been forever like lili said
I think she’s stopped because people have become more interested in other legacies. Dunno though.
After reading Aoxa’s legacy I’ve noticed how…
Well, long comment short, you’re Legacy isn’t interesting me. With Aoxa, she’s much more fun.
I still love the Haights, but I’ve gotten closer to the Smiths.
